Invitation and call for papers 7th research day ESPANET NL/VL

A changing welfare state?
31st January – Erasmus university
Erasmus Expo and Congress Centrum (Van der Goot Building)
Woudestein

Both external developments – like demographic, societal, technological and economic changes – and internal developments – like the social investment and inclusiveness agenda – have led to changes in the organisation of the provision of services. The welfare systems across the Netherlands and Belgium as they were gradually developed in the 20th century seem to be changing fundamentally. As Kim Putters stated in his oration: do we need a new social contract? Or as Frank Vandenbroucke said in his recent speech: should we have a proactive role in the European social agenda?

ESPAnet NL/VL and Local wilfare will organize the 7the research day ESPANET NL/VL. The theme of this seminar will be: a changing welfare state? On this day Dutch and Flemish researchers will presented their current research concerning social policy.
